Are there any limitations to using Node.js for web development?
Node.js does not support multi-threaded programming. It is not recommended to use Node.js incase of very computational tasks of high intensity. When Node.js executes long-running tasks, it might use a lot of memory and queue all incoming requests. The reason for this is the fact that Node.js follows a JavaScript event loop which is single threaded and this framework for now does not support multi-threaded development. Even though it can serve some more complicated applications, unfortunately, it is not suitable for performing long-running calculations.
